It’s a bit hard to believe, but this year I was honored to receive the vExpert award again.
It’s a real privilege and a tremendous honor that John Troyer and his team have even considered adding me to his magic list of VMware vExperts.
For me personally, the reason I’m involved with the community is still mainly because I’m fascinated by the possibilities and opportunities virtualisation presents to us each and every day. Sure I do use virtualisation daily, but I’m not involved because it is my bread and butter, as a software developer using VMware products is about convenience and virtualisation is a tool that helps me getting my work done.
For example if the server outage that I had on saturday night would not have been on a virtual platform then I would not have been able to go to Koh Kret yesterday as I would not have been able to take the right precautions in half an hour on an early sunday morning.
Thanks VMware for making my life easier and thanks for the wonderful vExpert 2011 award.
Congratulations to all the other VMware 2011 vExperts, I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do.
